battery not charging? (lumia 1020)

CAUSES

- Malfunctioning charging cable

- Malfunctioning power outlet source

- Obstruction caused by the device’s external casing

- Obstruction of device’s charging port

- Device malfunction

- Obstruction of battery’s metallic contacts

- Incompatible charger and battery

SOLUTION

- Try charging the battery with a different charger cable.

- Try using a different power outlet to charge the battery. (Wall socket, Computer USB port etc)

- Remove  the phone’s casing

- Ensure the device’s charging port is not clogged by dust

- Power OFF the device, remove the battery then re-insert it and try powering it ON

- Ensure the battery’s metallic contacts are free from any external interference (dust, corrosion) with the connection.

- Ensure you are using COMPATIBLE charger and battery with your device.
