Improved and updated User interface.
The User interface (UI) refers to the general look and
performance of the android OS in terms of its theme, icons, menu, settings,
apps….. Etc.
This android version has improved on this feature by
making it easier to learn and navigate, making it much faster than other
previous android versions and making it more power efficient.
This has been made possible by:
- A simplified color theme that brings distinctions
between the notification bar, menus and apps
- Menus and settings have also been tweaked to make
navigation easier.
Improved
Power management
Battery drainage in devices is usually caused by a
number of factors including display settings, prolonged internet access, maximum
use of the CPU….etc
This android version improves power management
through:
- App management setting displaying CPU usage by
various apps making it easier to close apps hogging the CPU.
- There is also a setting that monitors the battery
usage by system components and running apps.
Camera
Option
User can access multiple cameras on the device.
This is made possible by the re-designing of the
on-screen keyboard by:
- Reshaping the keyboard keys for easier accuracy when
typing
- Displaying the keyed-in character
- Displaying dictionary suggestions while typing
- Quick numbers and symbols input without manual
switch of the input modes.
Improved
Copy/Paste functions
Users can copy and paste texts from a variety of
sources including text fields or web pages. The copied texts are then copied to
the clipboard ready for pasting.
To copy and paste an item, just place the cursor before
the word you want to copy, then press until it enters a free selection mode and
drag to increase the selection area.
Native
VOIP/ SIP support
Voice calls over the internet is also possible
through the use of a SIP account from the provider.
